The schedule

Takeoff and bid, before any wire goes in

Send the plan set and your electrical selections. We count every box, fixture and circuit and send a written bid with the allowances marked.

The six phases below run from that bid to the punch list. The dates come from your superintendent's calendar, not ours.

  • Plan review with your designer

  • Written bid, allowances listed

  • Permit application prepared

Phase 1 · Red wire

Rough-in

Boxes, cable and the panel go in. Our crew lead walks the house with your superintendent before the first box is set.

  • Starts when

Framing is complete and the roof is dried in.

  • We need

The plans, your selections and the signed spec sheet.

  • On site

The crew lead and the rough-in crew.

  • Walk-through with the superintendent

  • Boxes set to the plans and the spec sheet

  • Meter base and panel set

Phase 2 · Blue wire

Inspection

We book the rough-in inspection with the local codes office and are there when the inspector comes. Anything flagged gets a written fix list before insulation.

  • Starts when

Rough-in is finished and the inspection is booked.

  • We need

The permit posted on site and access to every room.

  • On site

The crew lead, for the inspector's questions.

  • Inspection booked by us

  • Crew lead on site

  • Fix list in writing

Phase 3 · White wire

Trim

Devices, plates, fixtures, fans and the panel directory go in after drywall and paint, so everything goes up once.

  • Starts when

Drywall and paint are done and the painter is out of the rooms.

  • We need

Fixtures and fans on site, or the allowance chosen.

  • On site

The trim foreman and a trim crew.

  • Devices and plates

  • Fixtures hung to the lighting plan

  • Panel directory filled in

Phase 4 · Black wire

Final

Every circuit is tested with power on, and the final inspection is booked. Your superintendent gets a punch list sheet, room by room.

  • Starts when

Trim is complete and power is on.

  • We need

A person on your side for the walk-through.

  • On site

The crew lead and the trim foreman.

  • Every circuit tested

  • Final inspection booked by us

  • Punch list sheet, room by room

After final

Punch list and close-out

Callbacks go to one person. You get the panel directory and the permit sign-off for your closing file.

  • One number for callbacks

  • Permit sign-off copy

  • Panel directory for the homeowner

What moves a date

The holds we plan around

  • Framing runs late

We move the crew and tell your superintendent the same day.

  • Inspection comes back with a fix list

The list goes in writing to your superintendent before insulation, and we book the re-inspection.

  • Paint isn't finished

Trim waits until the painter is out of the rooms, so plates and fixtures go up once.

Questions about the schedule

What do you need to write a bid?

The plan set with the electrical sheet, your fixture and appliance selections, the house address and the month you expect framing to finish. If the selections aren't final, we bid with allowances and mark them.

Who pulls the permit and books the inspections?

The bid says who holds the permit. Either way we book the rough-in and final inspections with the local codes office, and the crew lead is on site for both.

What if framing isn't finished when your crew is scheduled?

Sabiha moves us and tells your superintendent the same day. The schedule shows the hold, so nobody finds out from an empty house.

Do you trim houses you didn't rough in?

Sometimes. We walk the house first and list in writing anything we'd need corrected before trim. Then we set a trim date.

Tell us your framing date

We will send back a schedule with the six phases and who is on site for each.
